CASEY S QUILT

This is a good idea for an easy and quick quilt.  The most important step is to select a great printed fabric that represents a theme (such as sports, college logos, special interests or floral arrangements).  This printed fabric will be the center of your quilt.  It is also a great place for an appliqué' design.  Choose either the 4 inch or the 6 inch width Sew and Fold on a Roll and make lengths of flying geese for the first border to fit the center fabric.  Now add a border of braids.  Notice that the braids mirror image from the center on each side.  The corners of the flying geese are set with squares or large half squares. 

The braid border forms its own mitered corners and is finished with triangles.  This pattern is easy to make and efficient in both use of time and fabric.  The amount of fabric in both colors for the flying geese and the braid is equal.  Additional fabric will be needed for the corner treatments.
